Hmm... isn't it ironic how I look most like Japanese celebrities, even though I'm Chinese?!

Caffeine fix =)

Went to Starbucks today with Fran and Amy, for a major politics revision session in Starbucks! We always go there anyway every week anyway for our weekly girly time, and we've always noticed this one big table there with really nice low lamps - perfect place to study! So we sat there with our yummy cinnamon swirls and grande sugar-free vanilla soy cappuccinos (500 calories in total!!), had a bit of a girly chat, then Amy left and Fran and I got working. I have to say, the caffeine injection helped greatly... saying that, I think I've become somewhat addicted to caffeine... and I really mean ADDICTED, as in, I can barely function without it! Catch me on a day where I have not had my caffeine fix, and I'm telling you, I will not be a happy bunny! Anyways, we both did feel so much better after that revision session... at least now we feel like we actually have a chance at getting a decent grade in the exam on Tuesday.

Our attention did start to wander though, a couple of hours later, so we went downstairs to Paperchase in Borders bookshop to have a look at the stationery there (so cute!). Didn't get anything, but really I think it was just a sign of our extreme shopaholism... we can't even revise without getting urges to shop!

Studying studying studying...

Arrgh I am soooo bored! Exams are coming real soon now, so have been holed up in my room studying! Everyone's out tonight for Beach Party @ MTwo and I'm not allowed to go because I have to study! So frustrating! Especially as me and Wendy were just so looking forward to dressing up all summery tonight! Although, ironically enough, the very night that it is the Beach Party it is actually cold and raining! I have a week break off from college now, before the exams start, and I know I should be grateful for the time to study but I just feel so antisocial at the moment. Hmmmm I'm probably just whining right now (and procrastinating!).

I know, I know... the very fact that I can show excitement at something so trivial quite obviously signifies my descent into geekdom... and obvious boredom! But I seriously cannot revise unless I made pretty notes... at least it feels like I've been productive even if I have spent half the time colouring them in =)

Working Out

For the past few weeks I have been on a total health mission to become super fit and toned, especially because my college leavers do was coming up and I wanted to look as tiny as possible... and it worked! Almost all of my size 10 (UK size) clothes are now too big for me! In fact, some of my size 8 clothes are also too big for me hahaha. All of this achieved by sticking to a strict 1000 calorie diet for 2-3 weeks. However, after the leavers do was over and I wasn't quite so desperate to lose weight quickly, I started to find it much more difficult to resist temptation... oops. Have been managing to just about stick to 1200 calories a day recently now that I have been having major food cravings (that time of the month soon!)!

So for the past week, I have been also having major GUILT from suddenly increasing my food intake again, and have been exercising majorly in order to justify the extra food! Everday I have started running up and down the stairs 20 times at least, which equals 40 lengths... and in just a week, my calves have become super toned! =D and have been doing weights and sit ups almost everyday... which is good because it's meant I have not gone any bigger and am getting all nice and super toned =D Hunniiii even noticed the difference yesterday when he saw me, saying I looked so much slimmer and more toned, even though I was having a major bloating day yesterday!!! He also said my skin was glowing so much more... whether that's to do with exercising so much, I don't know, but yay!!

Lets just see how long this lasts...

So today I met up with my girl Sunnah, whom I used to work with back in the days at CPW. Haven't seen that girl in TIME! Seriously, put the 2 of us together, and you get... CHAOS! That girl is crazy and sooo much fun!

We went for lunch in Andalucia, a Lebanese restaurant in town... I love that place! That is our number one hangout whenever we meet up. When you step inside, it's like stepping into an arabian cave... there's little areas where you can sit down with low tables and low sofas and cushions.... such a ncie relazing atmosphere! and the food is DIVINE. We had some lamb stew and spicy potatoes (sorry can't remember or even pronounce any of the names of these dishes!).

After the meal, I went to college... my morning class got cancelled so I only had one class in the afternoon. After that, Hunniii picked me up from town and we went to pick up his laundry and go to Wing Yip to get stuff for Mummy, then we went back to his house to chill for a bit... and were so tired we just fell asleep haha. Then we went to watch Pirates Of The Carribean 3... oh my goodness is that a looooong film or what?!! It was like 3 HOURS!! Not the best film for someone with such a short attention span such as myself. Hunniii ended up falling asleep in it, ad I was getting so restless wondering when it was ever going to end! I mean, it's a pretty good film, but I think they should have made it shorter... after awhile it starts to lose its effect on people because we're all wondering when we can go!

Pale vs. Tanned

I have never understood the drastic measures people go to to get a tan. For me, I like to protect my skin and stay pale, wearing SPF 40 sunscreen on my face everyday of the year, and ensure my makeup has additional sunscreen!

Today, Becky in college once again announced that she was off to go on the sunbeds (she does this weekly), and I told her that this was not a good idea, as she has the type of skin that burns EXTREMELY easily anyway, and therefore gets very burnt every single week, thus increasing her risks of skin cancer! Of course, she would not listen, and usually after that we will jus leave her to it, but we could simply not keep our mouths shut when she said that you were not allowed to even wear sunscreen whilst on the sunbeds! That is definitely not true, as every tanning salon SELLS sunscreen!! I simply cannot understand why people actually pay money to damage their skin, especially as the sun can be extremely damaging simply on a day to day basis anyway. But then, this other girl, whom I have never spoken to in my life, started attacking everything I had said, saying that it was that Becky's skin and she can do what she wants, and said that things that we eat and are exposed to everday can also cause cancer and therefore we might as well do what we like because we'll get it anyway. She also went on to say that a lot of people are born with the risk of getting cancer anyway so it doesn't matter how much you try to avoi it, because you may get it anyway! To me, that was the stupidest line of argument ever, and I told her so, because, if we are already exposed to harmful things to begin with, why add to it? And there is a big difference between having the potential to get cancer, and actually triggering it. That girl even began personally attacking my own lifestyle, saying things like "the chocolates and crisps that you eat might trigger cancer", to which I replied "I don't eat chocolate or crisps" so HA! She went on to list other unhealthy things that I might do, each time saying that those could cause it, such as smoking and drinking, but to be honest, I don't smoke and I barely drink even a drop of alcohol so that totally ruined her argument! Anyway, she was UGLY and definitely not the kind of person who would ever even bother to treasure her appearance and therefore I just left her in her mindless rambling as I decided that nothing I could say would possibly change her narrow mind.

Urgh. I hate stupid people.

VALEDICTORY!

So today was finally the night of my Valedictory (the college leavers' do). SUCH a good night. Although, in typical me style I was LATE. Not even in the normal, 15 minutes fashionably late that normal people would be, but no... I was 40 MINUTES LATE!! Even I find that slightly unbelieveable! First of all, I was dressed perfectly on time... but the thing is, I'd done my nails and they kept smudging whenever I tried to do anything! So I fixed them, and the same thing happened again. After the third time of it happening, I got so pissed off I removed all my nail varnish, because I was already running late by this point. To make matters worse, when mummy was driving me to the hotel that it was being held at, halfway there I realised I had forgotten to bring any mony with me, or even my debit card! So I dragged poor mummy off to find the nearest ATM machine to borrow money from her!

Ahhh well... apart from that minor mishap, the evening was great! All my girlfriends had already anticipated my much lateness (am I really that unreliable??!)!

Oh my goodness... for dessert, the most yummy sticky toffee pudding was served! Me and Fran couldn't keep our hands off it... the sauce was DIVINE. In fact, after eating ours, we also shared one of the other girl's one because she didn't want it! We could totally have eaten al the other leftovers, but somehow we just couldn't justify the piggishness of that!

After the meal, we all went town clubbing... even though town is seriously crap for clubbing, it was sooo much fun to just party the night away with all my friends from college!

I ♥ Japanese food...

Hunniii took me to this really nice Japanese restaurant today, called New Samsi. I loved it.... the food was gorgeous! I love Japanese food in general anyway... it's so yummy and healthy! And it was a nice change... usually when we go out we just go to Chinese restaurants because we can't think of anywhere else to eat, so we're kinda sick of chinese food now... that's all I ever eat nowadays when I'm out!

Hmmm... was a good night last night =D Felt so bad for Hunniiii though... I was kinda stranded getting into Manchester to get to Wendy's house because we were supposed to be all getting ready together, so I phoned him to ask him if he could give me a lift. Of course, he said yes, but I felt mean because, not only does he live in Manchester to begin with so he had to drive 30 minutes to pick me up and then drive all the way back, but also, I found out later on that he was supposed to be going for drinks with his friends because it was his friends' birthday! Naughty Hunniii! If I'd known that that was the case, I would have thought of other methods of transportation... I'm not that much of a monster!

As it turned out, by the time he picked me up, it was too late for me to go to Wendy's house because it was nearly midnight and she was going to leave to go at midnight, so we decided to meet her at the club instead, so that meant I had to frantically get changed in his car!! Now that was pretty hilarious.... I'm sure any cars driving past would have seen me in a chaotic tangle of tights and dress, etc!

Oh my days though... some bitch started a fight with Wendy! Wendy was very innocently chatting to her friend, who incidentally happened to be that girl's boyfriend, and that girl (who already didn't like Wendy), saw us later on and pushed Wendy really hard! Of course, we couldn't let that bitch just get away with it, and Wendy found her and pulled her hair and asked her what was she doing... next minute the two of them were pushing each other until the bouncers came and kicked that girl outta the club! HA! Serves her right!

We got out of the club at around 4 somthing, and me, James, Wendy, Kev and Mike all went to the kebab shop, and got kebabs for everyone else as well... but because we had such a large order, we had to wait in there for over an hour! By the time we got back, it was nearly 7 am!! We'd managed to watch the sun rise while sitting in that shop! So I slept around 7 something.... felt so bad though because I'd promised to meet the girls at around 11 am to go shopping... but obviously that was not to be.... they rang me around 10 am and I was still asleep! Oops. Hunnii also rang me, and said he'd pick me up around 3 pm to hang out, so me and Wendy flopped back into bed, chatting and chilling in our pjs..... until......

Turned out he wanted me to go with him and some friends for lunch. I was like "Whaaaat????!!" seeing as he didn't live that far away from Wendy's brother's house (where we were staying), which therefore left me about 15 minutes to jump into the shower, do my hair and makeup and get dressed!!! And admirably enough, I actually managed it! Well, maybe in 20 minutes, anyway. Grrrr how annoying is it when guys think girls can jus be ready in a few minutes???!
